The first appointment of the season for Cisterna Volley is approaching. Next Monday (August 21 starting at 9:00) the medical examinations are scheduled at Dr. Martini’s Ninfa Rehabilitation Clinic in Cisterna di Latina and it will be an opportunity to see the players of the team at work who will immediately begin the physical preparation in view of the restart of the Superlega championship.
Coach Guillermo Falasca will be able to count on his technical staff, a group of professionals who already have many years of experience in the top flight behind them and who will support him throughout the season.
Roberto Cocconi will be the second coach. «Fourth season in the top division for me, so I’m very happy to be able to continue working at this level with Cisterna’s club – explains Cocconi – there are many pitfalls but it’s a job that gives a lot of satisfaction: we’ll start preparing and it will be as always a very important moment in which the group will begin to be created and the foundations will be laid for the season which will be very demanding as usual».
Elio Tommasino will also be with Cocconi, he too will work side by side with coach Falasca. «This is the fourth consecutive year in the Superlega for me and I’m happy that the new company has trusted me – explains Elio Tommasino, assistant coach of Cisterna Volley, a local boy who is demonstrating that he can have his say in his role – It will be a very complicated fight for salvation and we will play it against the other formations but also for this reason it will be very nice and it will be a challenge for all of us ».
The physical trainer will be Gioele Rosellini, who is also the trainer of the Slovenian national team coached by Gianni Cretu, with whom he participated in the Volleyball Nations League and with whom he will also participate in the European championship and then continue with the Olympic qualifying tournament in Tokyo. «The boys have already been working for a few weeks with a training program shared with me and with the coach and I’m following them remotely, then after the third week of preparation, again in agreement with the coach, we will standardize the work also with test-matches in which we will propose a standard week.
The man of numbers and statistics will be Maurizio Cibba. «For me this is the tenth season in the Superlega and I must admit that I am very happy that the club has bet on me – explains Cibba – As far as I am concerned, I will make myself available to give my support and I am happy to be part of one staff like ours.
