The round of 16 of the Cev Cup was presented this evening (Monday 11 December 2023) in Cagliari at the headquarters of the Department of Tourism, Crafts and Commerce of the Sardinia Region, which will pit Allianz Milan against Paok of Thessaloniki on Wednesday 13 December at 19 at PalaPirastu in Cagliari.
International volleyball returns to Sardinia with an important event, as underlined by the president of the Regional Committee of Fipav Sardinia, Eliseo Secci, introduced by the journalist Laura Puddu.
“We are proud to present an important and unique event, in fact I cannot remember any other European Cup matches in the recent history of our Region. In addition to Allianz Milano, I would like to thank the Department of Tourism, Crafts and Commerce, present here with Councilor Giovanni Chessa, for the important effort made in the direction of sport. I trust that on Wednesday volleyball fans will come to PalaPirastu to attend an event of international appeal, which will also be broadcast by Videolina and streamed to a much larger audience. I would also like to thank the Municipality of Cagliari, in particular the mayor Paolo Truzzu, who is absent today for another institutional commitment for his concrete support”.
