The captain and his experience, still with us. Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce that even in the 2023/24 season Francesco Dutto will be in the middle of the white and blue field, in Serie A3 Credem Banca.
Born in 1991, “Ciccio” is undoubtedly the most experienced player on the roster available to coach Lorenzo Simeon. Raised in the youth teams of the then Bre Banca Lannutti Cuneo, the middle blocker made his debut among the greats in Corigliano, in the 2011/12 Serie A2. From there, a decade-long journey between Cagliari (B1), Fossano (B1, B2 and Serie B), the return to Cuneo in Serie A2 2018/19 and, from 2019, Savigliano, with whom he won promotion to Serie A A3, to then stabilize in the category.
For the number 17, 197 centimeters tall, 185 points in the last year, in which he was the charismatic leader of a group capable of reaching the highest point in the history of Savigliano volleyball. “I’m really excited like every year, but this season the approach will be even better, after the results achieved in 2022/23. – explains Dutto – Being a captain? It means I’m the oldest of the group! Seriously, it represents a source of pride and I hope I can be proud again of a close-knit group like last year’s. Given the changes in the roster, the pre-season will be important, in which we will first have to get to know ourselves, in order to then achieve the best sporting results during the regular season”.
