Block Devils involved in the current European Championships enter the direct elimination phase.
Six out of six are the Bianconeri who enter the round of 16 starting tomorrow.
The Italians Giannelli and Russo took the ticket as first in Pool A. Five wins out of five starts for Italy (and two sets lost) which sets the stadiums of the country ablaze and reaches the round of 16 in Bari as one of the big favorites to win the final. In the first direct elimination round, coach De Giorgi’s men will face North Macedonia, who finished fourth in Pool C, in Puglia on Saturday afternoon at 6pm.
Clear path also for the Poland of Leon and Semeniuk. The winners of the last Vnl and also the great favorites for the final success have no problems in Pool C, they leave crumbs to their opponents (just one set) and arrive in Bari to face Belgium in the round of 16 on Sunday evening at 9.00 pm, fourth in Pool A.
Only victories also for Ropret’s Slovenia, reigning vice champion who dominates Pool B played in Bulgaria (also in this case only one set lost) and enters the first round as inside or outside with the odds against Turkey fourth in the table Pool D, match scheduled in Varna on Saturday at 5.30 pm.
Then, on Saturday at 8.30pm, again in Varna, Plotnytskyi’s Ukraine will be on the pitch for their round of 16 match. After an uphill start with three defeats in the first three matches, the Juventus left-handed team found two fundamental successes which earned them third place in Pool B and the pairing against Portugal, who finished second in Pool D.
