From the love for the territory and the desire to support the weakest people with concrete actions, FarmitaliaSaturnia for the 2023/24 season enters into a partnership with social value with the aim of getting involved to help those who are most in need. This is the collaboration agreement with the Banco Alimentare Sicilia ODV, one of the 21 sections that are part of the Banco Alimentare network and coordinated by a Foundation that has been operating throughout the country since 1989 with the aim of reducing food waste and helping the most needy.
In recent days, the president of Banco Alimentare Sicilia, Pietro Maugeri, together with the director Domenico Messina, opened the doors of the Banco Alimentare at Farmitalia Saturnia to tell the president Luigi Pulvirenti and his deputy Santino Scirè, who also sits on the Board of Banco Alimentare, the activities carried out every day and which will soon also involve the members of the club and the players, with joint opportunities in favor of the territory.
“It was easy to choose to make the SuperLega stage available to a reality that does so much for the area with its work. – explained Pulvirenti – We were able to put this project on board thanks to the enthusiasm of private companies in our area who have decided to support us in this adventure. Well, now our time has come to give something back to the territory and we will do it actively thanks to a collaboration in which we believe so much. Banco Alimentare Sicilia – Catania has been operating since 1998 and does so thanks to a network of 438 affiliated charitable structures. Almost 160,000 people in need have received donations thanks to the work of the Banco Alimentare.
