It was last March 5 when, on the occasion of the home match of Aurispa DelCar against Smi Roma (won 3-0), the very young free Aidan Kit Russo made his debut in Serie A3. Today, a few months after that moment, the reconfirmation has arrived for the class of 2005, born in London but of Italian nationality, who grew up in the nursery of Progetto Azzurra Alessano.
The club, with the approval of coach Omar Pelillo, therefore chose to focus on Aidan Russo for the role of free second, ready to accumulate experience and minutes in his legs, taking inspiration from the more experienced Paolo Cappio.
Russo is one of the many examples of young talents who have come out of the volleyball school of the Salento club which, over the years, has included several young people in the first team, allowing them to make their debut in Serie A and in many cases to blossom definitively towards glittering careers, the same that is also hoped for Aidan Russo.
