Minus four to the debut of Emma Villas Siena who will take the field in Ortona on Sunday 15 October for the first day of the men’s Serie A2 volleyball championship (match starts at 6pm). The Sienese are completing their preparations to face the Abruzzo team. The pre-season has provided many interesting indications to the team trained by coach Gianluca Graziosi, who have been involved in many test matches over the last few weeks; but now the phase of the official season begins, that of the matches that “count” and that “weigh” and which above all give away points for the ranking.
The athletic trainer of Emma Villas Siena, Matteo Marsiglietti, talks about the work carried out in recent weeks: “Up to this moment we have worked very well and very intensely, making good loads and focusing the preparation on strength and prevention and on adaptation to avoid any injuries – these are his declarations. – The guys were very helpful, this is never a given, I found a group that has a great desire to work and that is showing great adaptation and great sacrifice in their daily work. There is a great desire to do, to get involved and bring out the best.”
“I am very satisfied with how things are going – continues Marsiglietti. – For me it is a pleasure and a satisfaction to work with a group like this. They are all kids dedicated to their work and who have the utmost attention and application, punctuality, order and precision. They are very collaborative, these weeks have been good and important. You can see the availability and desire to work, these have been two constants in what we have done since the beginning of the preparation even when we experienced weeks that were heavy from a physical work point of view. Every day the kids try to improve themselves through training in the gym.”
