Another test match for Emma Villas Siena, who will be busy in Ravenna tomorrow afternoon at 5pm for a new pre-season friendly. It will be the penultimate test match of the Sienese team before the start of the official matches. In fact, on Saturday 7 October the Sienese will be busy in Santa Croce sull’Arno. Then it will be time for the regular season, with Emma Villas Siena playing their first championship match on 15 October: it will do so in Abruzzo, against Ortona.

The team coached by coach Gianluca Graziosi has played many test matches so far in the pre-season: they faced Santa Croce, Ravenna (category teams, which will be opponents of the Sienese in the next A2 tournament), then Perugia, and again Fano and Prata di Pordenone in the Città di Tortoreto tournament which was won by the Sienese, then again Perugia. Many challenges that provided a lot of guidance to Gianluca Graziosi and the biancoblu technical staff and which allowed us to create the chemistry and amalgam for a group that is practically entirely new.

Now another test match against Ravenna, this time away. Looking for new answers from the group and new indications on what the boys of the Siena team will be able to do: “It will be an important test for us because Ravenna has set up a very good level roster – comments the coach of Emma Villas Siena, Gianluca Graziosi. – During the pre-season we have already faced them on one occasion, I hope to see improvements in my boys compared to that first challenge. Since then we have played various test matches, our group is growing and therefore I expect to see good things.”

Coach Graziosi continues: “We are playing various test matches, the two we played against Perugia were not even initially scheduled. These friendlies are welcome because they are the moments in which you can get important indications after the work done daily in training and therefore you can understand what is already going well and what needs to be studied instead”.
