Here is Pavle Peric, 24 years old, the new place four of Cisterna Volley is the spiker of the Serbian national team that participated in the Volleyball Nations League 2023. Originally from Prokuplje, a semi-hilly town of 50,000 inhabitants in south-eastern Serbia, Peric is 207 centimeters tall and was also on the field as a starter in the match played at the end of June against Italy: in the 3-0 win in favor of the Azzurri, Peric was Serbia’s best scorer with 15 personal points.

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at the Italian Superlega, the most beautiful and difficult championship in the world of volleyball. I also find Italy a beautiful country, with very hospitable and fun people, this is an added value for me».
Peric, who in the last two seasons played first in Greece (Olympiacos) and then in Turkey (Fenerbahce), will be available to coach Falasca from the first day of the Superlega, in the inaugural match on 22 October at the sports hall in via delle Province in Cisterna di Latina against the Italian champions from Trento.
«I’m a player who really likes to attack high balls, I prefer to play with a lot of power, but without forgetting the block thanks to my height and my serve, which I consider a very useful fundamental in the modern game – adds the Serbian – I know the coach well and I have always followed the great tradition of Pontine volleyball, I’m sure that in Cisterna we will be able to work well, achieve our goals and make sure that the public can have fun by rooting for us. The Cisterna Volley club has important goals and I want to give my contribution to achieve them: I expect a demanding season but I’m sure that by working as a team we can get where we want».
