Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce that also in the 2023/24 season Andrea Galaverna will be part of the roster available to coach Lorenzo Simeon, engaged in Serie A3 Credem Banca.
Born in Cuneo in 1994, “Gala” is one of the most experienced men in the white and blue jersey: in Savigliano for three seasons, the spiker boasts an important career, which has seen him wear the Corigliano (A2), Milan (A1) jerseys over the years , Castellana Grotte (A2) and Cuneo, with whom he played three seasons between 2018 and 2021, in Serie A2 and Serie A3.
After being the team’s top scorer in Monge-Gerbaudo Savigliano’s historic first season in the third national series (436 points in 2021/22), Galaverna confirmed his very high levels also in the unforgettable 2022/23 season, which closed with 343 points all ‘active and, above all, with 239 perfect receptions, which have placed him in third place in the special classification of the best receivers. For him, even 37 aces (13th overall).
“I think there is the possibility of further growth, even if we know it will be difficult to confirm on last year’s numbers, because at a technical and group level we had reached an important standard. I expect a season full of surprises, as happened last year. There are no favorites and no favorites, because rosters are often unknowns that will only be revealed with time. Certainly, we will have the ambition to do even better than the last year” – the words of Galaverna.
