A training with physical exercises and with the ball in the morning and a working session on the sand and beach volleyball yesterday afternoon concluded the first week of preparation of Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza in view of the 2023-2024 season. The five players, Edoardo Caneschi, Nicolò Hoffer, Francesco Recine, Fabio Ricci and Bruno Dias with a double session of work have thus completed the program drawn up by coach Andrea Anastasi for the inaugural period of the activity.
In these first five days of work, the activity continued without particular problems, alternating daily exercises with the ball with those dedicated to athletic training and sessions in the weight room.
“Things are going well – underlines coach Andrea Anastasi – we are resuming hostilities, the first week is always characterized by generic work and is used to understand the conditions of the boys. We have done little specific work, we will go into detail from the second week of work to further increase the loads from the third onwards. We need to put in more quality and we will do it slowly. I found the boys already in good condition, they had a program to follow and several of them have worked extensively with their national teams, I’m happy. From next week Simon and Gironi will join, we will be a little more and we will be able to do something more volleyball even if there are only seven of us, from the third week we will join some boys from the youth team and we will be able to go more specifically about the game. The friendlies? We are trying to organize some joint training to ensure that the boys are in the best conditions for when the rest of the group arrives, who will already be trained and used to the matches”.
The group already available to Anastasi will now enjoy two days of rest before returning to the gym and inaugurating the second week of preparation. The recovery is in fact set for Monday afternoon. And Robertlandy Simon and Fabrizio Gironi will join the group.
The second week of work includes two sessions on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, one dedicated to the beach on Wednesday morning.
