Directly from the youth sector, to continue the tradition of the boys who grew up in the nursery. Volley Savigliano is pleased to announce that Ambrogio Quaranta will be part of the roster involved in Serie A3 Credem Banca 2023/24.
Middle blocker born in 2003, Quaranta is back from his last season in Serie C with the Grandacar Savigliano shirt, led on the bench by Lorenzo Simeon himself, who he will now find again in the first team. Born in Cervere, he started playing volleyball in 2018, after starting high school, with the Volley Got Talent Fossano shirt, in the Under 15s. Then, the transition to the thriving nursery of Cuneo Volley, with which he obtained important satisfactions in various regional and inter-regional championships, also reaching the national teams with the Under 19.
After the transfer to Savigliano in the summer of 2022, here is the landing in Serie A3, which allows him to place himself in the vein of central players trained in Savigliano and then landed in the first team, which has another representative in his department partner Lorenzo Rainero.
The joy for the call was great: “It’s a great emotion for me, because anyone who starts a sport aims to reach the top of the categories and, for the moment, this is the best for me. What do I expect? I believe that preparation will allow me to arrive physically ready and I believe that with coach Lorenzo Simeon I will only be able to improve from a technical point of view. I am obviously aware of the fact that a lot changes among professionals in terms of activity, even on a weekly basis. I expect important things from the season, also because I will be in a large group, led by a coach I got to know this season and who asked me to stay. As a boy from the arena, who went to cheer on his favorites, it is a great joy to be here”.
Volley Savigliano wishes Ambrogio to take off many more satisfactions with the white and blue shirt on, completing that journey started by Serie C. Go Savian!
