Alessio Zingoni remains on the bench of Pool Libertas Cantù for the third consecutive championship, and will again support Coach Francesco Denora. Furthermore, during last season, the Tuscan coach also assumed the role of Technical Director of the Youth Sector of the Cantù team, a path that will continue.
“Alessio turned out to be an ideal right arm, and even left on some occasions – reveals Coach Francesco Denora -, very prepared and competent. His confirmation leaves me serene: I know that I can count on him in every respect. We are the decidedly youngest couple in the championship, but we don’t set ourselves limits: we don’t lack the desire to work and continue to learn, and Alessio is an example of this”.
“I am very happy to be staying in Cantù for the third consecutive year – says the second coach from Cantù -. I can say that I know the environment well, and that the environment knows me well. I thank President Ambrogio Molteni again for the opportunity and for the trust he has renewed in me, both in my role as second coach of Serie A2 and as Technical Director of the youth sector. There will be new challenges throughout the year on both fronts, and we will try to overcome them, together with Francesco (Coach Denora, ed) and the team as regards Serie A2, and together with Maurizio (Sporting Director Cairoli, ed) , to ‘Tete’ (the Head of the Youth Sector Stefano Pozzi, ed) and to all the coaches of the youth sector to overcome the others. The Serie A2 championship will be tough, and there doesn’t seem to be a team that can ‘kill’ it like Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia did last year. However, there are excellent teams, and the general level is very high. We will try to face match after match with the knowledge that it will be very difficult to repeat a year like last year, but we will try”.
