The veil is lifted on the one who will be the setter of Tinet Prata version 2023-2024. It is a very welcome return, that of Alessio Alberini who puts the gialloblù shirt back on after his experience in A3 in 2019-2020. That was a very special season because due to the well-known pandemic problems, the Passerotti ended the season prematurely, without being able to play the playoffs they had won on the field.
Alberini, born in 1998, also brings to Tinet a very recent experience with the senior national team. In fact, Fefè De Giorgi has just called him up for a collegiate in blue. After his first adventure in Prato, Alessio won an A3 championship in Motta, obtaining an excellent fifth place in A2 the following season. This year it went even higher. His Cantù finished the regular season in second place and stopped his run for the promotion semifinals against Bergamo.
The Venetian setter returned to Prata with the intention of giving continuity to the results achieved so far. In fact, he signed a two-year contract with President Vecchies’ club.
“The season, even if it has yet to begin – says a beaming Alberini at the time of signing – starts with excellent impressions. I arrive here with a staff that has already put me at ease. Prata’s technical and managerial structure will allow us to do excellent things. Then it will be up to us players to give our all. I am very positive and confident, also because I really like the ideas and philosophy of team management by the staff”
