Alessandro Acuti, middle blocker born in 2000, 198 centimeters tall, is a new player of Emma Villas Siena. Born in Bolzano and after completing his career in the youth sector in Trento, Acuti spent the last two years in Motta di Livenza where he was also a teammate of Stefano Trillini, who he now finds again in Siena.

Despite his young age, with his 23 years to go, it is already the sixth season that Acuti plays in Serie A. Last year he found a decent playing time and scored 84 points in the regular season.

This is one of Emma Villas Siena’s latest market hits in view of the imminent closure of the market and the drawing up of the calendars for the next Serie A2 tournament.

Acuti arrives in Siena on an annual loan from Trento, who owns him.

Alessandro Acuti, how did your move to Emma Villas Siena come about?

“When Siena’s proposal arrived, I immediately judged it a great opportunity and immediately seized the opportunity”.

What do you think of Sienese society?

“It is one of the most important squares of Italian volleyball, Siena is now a historic volleyball club in our country. There is a great coach like Gianluca Graziosi, as soon as I received the offer I had no doubts and I accepted”.

What did you learn in the two years spent in Motta di Livenza?

“I did the youth academy in Trento, then I left home when I landed in Motta di Livenza. They have been two difficult years but in this period of time I have certainly improved and grown both from a technical and character point of view. Last season I also managed to find more minutes than the previous year.”

In Siena he will find Stefano Trillini again.

“I have a very good relationship with him, we were also roommates and I’m happy to find him again in Siena”.

What do you think of the team preparing Emma Villas for the next championship?

“There are good names, strong and experienced players and even younger players. I think it’s a balanced team.”

What kind of A2 championship do you expect?

“I think there will be more quality than last year, there are teams with important players and we are among them”.

What is your sporting dream?

“I would like to win the championship or the Italian Cup of A2. Then in the long run my dream is to play in the Superlega”.

How would you define yourself as a player?

“On the pitch I try to never give up. I consider myself more of a striker than a bricklayer, I try to give good support to the team”.
