Twelve days until their championship debut: Belluno Volley has started another week of work in the gym. Work that is now aimed at a very specific appointment: close in time and with the stamp of officiality. Because on Sunday 15 October, in the afternoon (at 3pm), the Spes Arena will be the stage for the debut match in the Serie A3 Credem Banca championship: Cus Cagliari will arrive in the shadow of the Dolomites.
And at the meeting, Fabio Bisi and his teammates will show up after a good run in the pre-season. As evidenced by the successes against Povegliano (3-0), San Donà al Pala Barbazza (3-1) and, more recently, with an A2 sextet. That is, Kemas Lamipel Santa Croce, defeated 4-1 in the match that took place last Saturday in Montecchio Maggiore. The only half-failure occurred at the Lambioi sports hall, again with San Donà. But even in that case it wasn’t a defeat, but rather an unprecedented draw: 2-2.
«The last test gave positive indications, we played really well – said the twenty-nine year old opposite end and striker -. We managed to express ourselves at the level of an A2 opponent, who will also aim to have a great championship this season. So carry on like this.”
Bisi focuses on one aspect in particular: «The attitude. Maybe it was a bit lacking in the first friendlies, while from this point of view we expressed ourselves much better.” In short, the route is the right one. And the work done so far is bearing the desired fruits, within a very good pre-season. With a single, but important flaw: the ankle injury to Alex Reyes.
