At PalabancaSport the spotlight is once again on Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza: in the late afternoon today the team’s preparation for the 2022-2023 season got underway. A little more than seven weeks after the debut in SuperLega Credem Banca (scheduled for October 2 at the PalabancaSport against Verona) the red and white team has gathered and started to carry out the training program which, at least in the first part, will be characterized by the presence in the gym less than half of the players of the new squad; all the others, in fact, are at work with their respective national teams, given that the World Cup will start at the end of August.
To respond to the first call of coach Lorenzo Bernardi today there were only five of the fourteen players on the official roster: the confirmed Edoardo Caneschi and Enrico Ceste (both central) and the new faces of Fabrizio Gironi (hitter), Luka Basic (hitter) and Nicolò Hoffer (free). The setter Milan Peslac joined the group in this first period of preparation last year in Ravenna.
The technical and medical staff who will work throughout the season with the Trentino coach are already complete: the Sports Director Alessandro Fei, the Assistant Coach Massimo Botti, the Athletic Trainer Davide Grigoletto, the scout man Giuseppe Amoroso, the Doctors Carlo Segalini and Francesco Zucchi, the osteopath Giovanni Berzioli, the physiotherapists Federico Pelizzari and Federico Usai.
The complete program of the first week of preparation for the 2022-2023 season, to be carried out entirely at PalabancaSport, includes a double session of work on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday while rest on Saturday and Sunday.
