Catia Pedrini, during her ten-year presidency, has left an indelible mark on the history of Italian volleyball with her ability to express emotions in a direct and authentic way. In addition to his way of affirming his thoughts with great transparency, without ever giving up the frankness of opinions to enrich the comparison in a constructive way.
A great woman, generous towards the sports world, bearer of great passions who, if from a professional profile, managed to get all my esteem, under the human one she will always have my friendship and my affection.
A consistent, combative sports entrepreneur, always incisive with her reflections that have often been out of the crowd. Without fear of making enemies, he has always expressed his thoughts aloud.
He did so even when Tonno Callipo Volley found itself facing various problems, such as those related to the playing facility, towards which no representative of the management system of Italian volleyball showed understanding and sensitivity, ignoring the peculiarities of our territory.
Binding us in this decade has always been a great sharing of ideas and values that has allowed us to lead, side by side, battles for the equality of all clubs.
To the new president Giulia Gabana, daughter of my great friend Marcello Gabana, who unfortunately is no longer there due to a bad fate, I want to continue the important work done in recent years by those who preceded her.
I sincerely hope that Catia’s is not a farewell to the world of volleyball which would be impoverished by the lack of a dynamic and proactive spirit like hers. It would make me happy instead, and I believe that many will share my thoughts, to see her in the not too distant future, hold the position of President of the Serie A Volleyball League.
