Changing of the guard at the Gioiella Prisma Volley. The assistant coach Paolo Zambolin renounces the position for personal reasons: the club thanks him for the commitment and the work done in this period of time.
“I am sorry to have left the team after only a month – declares Zambolin – but my health conditions did not allow me to continue in the short term. I thank the Gioiella Prisma company and the whole team and the city, I hope it’s just a goodbye. At the moment I just think about taking care of myself, maybe one day we can meet again, with the same colors or as opponents “.
A new professional figure arrives in Taranto, who has already worked in the past with Vincenzo Di Pinto, coach Cristiano Camardese: for two years together with Di Pinto he formed a well-tested couple in the sparkling vintages in Perugia from 2008 to 2010, winning a Challenge Cup, competing for the Scudetto and finishing in fourth place in the regular season.
Born in Terni in 1973, coach Camardese has behind him a curriculum full of high-level experiences, both in men and women. From 2005 to 2010 he was assistant coach in Perugia with RPA Luigi Bacchi, he worked not only with Mr. Di Pinto but also with coaches of the caliber of Zanini and Caponeri, then with Caprara when he joined the women’s field.
After the ambitious years in Novara and Modena in women’s A1, in 2015 she left the top flight volleyball and opened a volleyball school in Tuscany where she stayed for two years. Later he moved to Foiano della Chiana where he is the technical director of the youth sector and Serie C when, in the last few days, the call of Mr. Di Pinto arrived who wanted him with him to coach in Taranto.
The statements of the new coach in second Camardese: “After 7 years of absence from volleyball in Serie A this particular condition has occurred for which I am naturally grateful to president Bongiovanni and to Mr. Di Pinto. I know Vincenzo very well, I have a special bond with him having spent two wonderful years in Perugia, I know how he works and I hope I can be useful to him in this new adventure in Taranto. I am also getting to know the players slowly: I have already seen Falaschi, Stefani and Antonov play, we will prepare ourselves as best we can for this championship which is almost upon us. For me, volleyball is a real passion, as well as being my job, so being able to return to the Super League was an unmissable opportunity; Taranto is a seaside city and I like it very much, the idea of spending the season here is really tempting, I can’t wait to get to the heart of the championship. “
