With the announcement of the new coach, work has begun on the Med Store Tunit for next season. After this year’s race ended in the Play Off Semifinal, there is a great desire to start again with enthusiasm and the conviction of being able to improve and to confirm these intentions has arrived Flavio Gulinelli, long-time coach. He has worked in Italy and in the world, alternating prestigious benches in clubs and leading national teams as important, today he comes from the championships played with BCC Castellana Grotte in Serie A2.
The adventure begins with the Med Store Tunit Macerata but how did this opportunity come about and what convinced you about the red and white offer? “It is a collaboration that was created fortuitously, at least at the beginning”, says coach Flavio Gulinelli, “I had interrupted my relationship with Castellana Grotte and speaking with an agent of my acquaintance he advised me of the possibility of meeting the management of Volleyball Macerata. I then had the opportunity to speak with the Sports Director Riccardo Modico and then with the rest of the managers. We liked each other and the club gave me the opportunity to get to know the team, see the work of the boys and the staff up close, and breathe the red and white atmosphere. From now on I take the responsibilities of the first team, I hope to be able to help also in the youth sector where I know that an important job has been done in recent years. I was struck by the desire to always grow from the Macerata Volleyball project, to take one more step every year; this will therefore be the starting goal of next season, to continue improving and it is never easy at these levels, but we know that the base is there: the last championship ended in the semifinal but it was just a short distance to reach the last round , then the factors that influence a season are many so we set ourselves the general goal of raising the level of our volleyball.
