The players who will make up the Emma Villas Aubay Siena roster next season have chosen the jersey number for the next championship, which the Sienese team will play in the Superlega. The calendar, made official last Thursday, established that the official season debut of President Giammarco Bisogno’s team will be Sunday 2 October in Trento, while the first home game of the championship will be seven days later, at PalaEstra, against Perugia.
So here are the numbers, starting with the opposites. Federico Pereyra chose number 11. In his only Italian experience so far, in 2012-2013 at Brolo in Serie A2, the Argentine had instead chosen number 9. Giulio Pinali takes the 1 he wore with the jersey of the Italian national team while in Trento last year he had the 10 and previously he had worn the 14 in Ravenna and the 8 in Modena.
Chapter setters. The Argentine Juan Ignacio Finoli chose the 10 that accompanied him on his adventures first in Catania (in his second year in the Etna society) and then in the two years in Bergamo. Among the spikers Nemanja Petric is held the number 4 that he had first in his three years in Perugia and then in his four years in Modena (while in Milan he wore the 9).
