The training of Avimecc Volley Modica continues at a sustained pace in view of the start of the 2022/2023 season which, as is now known, will see the white and blue of president Ezio Aprile at the starting line in the men’s A3 volleyball championship.
Coach Giancarlo D’Amico with the precious collaboration of all his technical staff is making the available roster work alternating sessions in the gym with training in the water and on the sand.
The goal is to get all the athletes to arrive in the best possible conditions at the official start of the season set for October 9th.
At the end of yesterday’s training, the blue-white coach made a general summary of the first days of work, then broadening the discussion to next season which for D’Amico is the second on the bench of the Modica sextet.
“It is still too early to be able to give judgments, but in these first days of preparation I have noticed that what I train is a group of energetic athletes, eager and above all curious about news. These, I am sure, will be three fundamental ingredients for our season, elements that if we want to pursue a “dream” we must never disperse. The fact of being able to coach the same team for the second consecutive year, albeit with the addition of new elements – he continues – is extremely important for me. In fact, in a season, time is usually dedicated to getting to know the athletes. “
