A fabulous Italy is in the Final at the 2022 World Championship. For the Azzurri team, which includes the middle blocker of Vero Volley Monza, Gianluca Galassi, a dream evening on the field of the Gliwice Arena, the scene of the clear success for 3- 0 inflicted on Slovenia in the Semifinal.
24 years after the last World Final played (it was 1998 when Italy faced Yugoslavia), the Azzurri will try to accomplish the feat against the hosts of Poland, winning over Fernando Kreling’s Brazil, setter of Vero Volley Monza, for 3-2. Live broadcast on Rai 1 and Sky Sport 1 at 9.00 pm tomorrow, Sunday 11 September.
It will be the fifth final in Italian history after the silver in ’78 and the golds in ’90, ’94 and ’98. Tomorrow will be the first time ever in a World Cup final against Poland; for the coach De Giorgi it will be the fourth of his career after the three titles from 90 to 98 as a player, as coach of Italy it will be his second after last year’s European one.
