Enrico Cester will be a Gas Sales Bluenergy Volley Piacenza player also in the 2022-2023 season.
Sixteen active seasons in the top flight for Enrico Cester, a true veteran of the SuperLeague, who therefore continues his adventure in Piacenza where he arrived last summer. Twenty-seven appearances on the court for the Venetian last season between the league, Coppa Italia, Play Off Scudetto and Play Off 5th place for a total of 78 sets played, 90 points scored, and 32 blocks. An important contribution was made by the middle blocker which once again demonstrated all its qualities and relied on all its 204 cm in height.
“I am happy to continue playing in Piacenza – says Enrico Cester – and to be able to give my contribution to an important and constantly evolving project. Every year the bar is raised, the club’s ambitions are important, there will be an opportunity to play in Europe and this must be a further motivation for all of us. We hope it will be a good season and that we can have fun on the court”.
Born in 1988 in Motta di Livenza and raised in Treviso, Enrico Cester enters the first team on a permanent basis starting from the 2005-2006 season. He wore the Treviso jersey for three years and then went down in the category, in A2 with Città di Castello and returned to the top flight in 2009 in Loreto. After various experiences around Italy with the jerseys of San Giustino, Latina, Castellana Grotte and Ravenna, he is the protagonist in Civitanova where he remains for four seasons from 2015 to 2019, winning two Scudetti, an Italian Cup and a Champions League as a protagonist. Having closed his experience in the Marche, he moved to Verona, then to Vibo Valentia and last season to Piacenza.
Enrico Cester made over 40 appearances with the national team jersey and also took part in the 2018 World Championships.
