The physiotherapy staff of Emma Villas Aubay Siena is among the most “pink” of the national volleyball scene. This year, together with the European and world champion Francesco Alfatti, there are three women in the physiotherapy staff of the biancoblu team. They are Antonella Petri, Elena Giulianelli and Elisa Picchioni.
“Not many women work in the staff of the men’s Super League teams – declares Antonella Petri. – This number has been growing lately and I hope it will increase further in the future. Nobody gives discounts or gives anything away, competence and professionalism must be demonstrated every day. I thank the company for the opportunity and I feel responsible for it. Before, I was a fan of the team, with a passion for volleyball. I have been on the staff for three years, we have experienced many exciting moments, I am thinking, for example, of the away victory in Santa Croce sull’Arno which gave us salvation in Serie A2 last season. Many Sienese have approached this reality over the seasons, now we see good numbers also as regards the presence of spectators at the PalaEstra and the Superlega allows you to see beautiful matches and great champions ”.
