Another year of “Network Classes” has ended, the Emma Villas Aubay Siena project to bring young students from local schools closer to the world of volleyball and biancoblu society. The last stop of this season was at the Saffi elementary school. The initiative was temporarily interrupted this year in moments of major coronavirus infections and then resumed in the final juncture of the championship of the Sienese first team.
In November, about 200 students from the “Mattioli” and “Sabin” middle schools cheered on the Sienese team from the stands of PalaEstra in the match played against Brescia. It was in those institutes that coaches and players of Emma Villas Aubay Siena had gone in the previous days and weeks to talk with young people, to tell anecdotes about their career in the world of volleyball and also to do some dribbling with them. These are moments that are always particularly appreciated by the kids who can see closely the players and athletes for whom they usually cheer from the stands, and at the same time they can ask them questions and take pictures.
