New addition for Aurispa Libellula who ensured the performances of the Sicilian setter Calogero Tulone, coming from Gis Pallavolo Ottaviano, a team that played in the last A3 championship, among other things in the same group as the Salento.
Tulone, born in 1996, 185 cm tall, was born in Sciacca where he made his debut with the home team in the Serie C championship, and then spent several years in Serie B between Volley Brolo, Catania (one season in A2) and Modica. This last destination becomes predominant for the rest of his career which sees him wearing the same jersey from 2019 to 2021, with the last two seasons played in A3. Last year, as mentioned, he moved to Ottaviano with whom he competed in the A3 championship, reaching a painful salvation, after having prevailed in the playout challenges with Galatina Energy Efficiency.
Falù Ottaviano will then decide not to take part in the Serie A3 2022/23 championship, leaving their athletes free to marry other teams, as happened with Tulone, convinced by the DS Antonio Scarascia to marry Aurispa Libellula’s project.
