Arthur Szwarc will be a Vero Volley Monza player for the 2022-2023 season. Powerful in hitting and attacking, strong on the block, having held the position of central for years, the Canadian player completes the opposition department of the first men’s team of the Vero Volley Consortium, together with Georg Grozer, for the next SuperLega Credem Banca.
CAREER AT A GLANCE
Szwarc was born in Toronto, Canada, of Polish parents (which is why he also has a Polish passport). Raised in the university formation of the York Lions in the role of central, in the 2017-2018 season he was bought by the French Ligue 1 club Arago de Sete. Since 2019 he has been a player of the Top Volley Cisterna, playing two excellent seasons and a half, alternating in the role of central and opposite (a role already held in the past but not continuously). His offensive flare-ups contribute to an excellent start to the season of Lazio, but the new player from Monza at the end of November 2021, in the match against Milan in Lombardy, tears the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee. After a long recovery, here is now the opportunity for Szwarc to return to the field to dunk as he knows.
NATIONAL
He has been part of the Canadian senior selection since 2017, the year of the Bronze at the World League. Two years later he achieved third place in the NORCECA Championship, and was also called up to represent his country at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
