Last market hit in July, the 206 cm class of 2003 is unanimously considered the rising star of Bulgarian volleyball. With the senior national team he took part in VNL and World Cup, while he is preparing to face the Under 20 European Championship with the youth selection of his country.
Beppe Cormio: “A few days before the U20 European Championships, to present Alex we took advantage of the presence of the Bulgarian youth national team, engaged today in a training session with France in our arena. I am friends with his father Vladimir, a great Bulgarian player of the past. It was I who brought it to Italy. The arrival of his talented heir is the result of a mutual promise kept between two esteemed friends. Chicco Blengini: “Let’s talk about a high profile guy! Alex from the point of view of preparation and what he has already shown in the national team can be well at these levels and has the characteristics to set ambitious goals! Alex Nikolov: “I was in the States for college and I received proposals from some important clubs. It was not an easy choice, it is a big step for my career and my life, but I wanted the Lube! I expect many victories and great satisfactions, but also difficult moments. The Bulgarian champions, starting with Sokolov, told me good things about the Club, training, how to play and the fans. I dream of becoming a world champion and playing with champions is fantastic, I will give my best and I will welcome the advice of my teammates with open arms. My presence and the agreement signed between Lube and Levski will certainly attract many Bulgarian fans. “
