Coach Francesco Denora is forced to field a highly reworked formation, with Alessio Alberini in the control room, Federico Compagnoni opposite, Alessandro Galliani and Jonas Aguenier in the band, Federico Mazza and Dario Monguzzi in the center, and Luca Butti free.
In the first set Brescia escapes immediately (9-3), stretches (19-9) and manages the advantage by closing 25-13. In the second set the Pool Libertas immediately launches forward (4-7, 5-9), only to be grabbed at 11; Cantù relaunches the action (14-17), but Brescia recovers, overtakes (19-17) and closes 25-20. In the third set it is Brescia who launches forward (9-3), to lengthen (16-7, 19-11), resist the comeback attempt by the Libertas Pool (20-18) and close 25-22.
