Emma Villas Aubay Siena’s season will start on Thursday 11 August preparing for the new season in the Superlega championship. The calendar has established that the debut of the Sienese in the Superlega tournament will be Sunday 2 October in Trento, while the first home game of the championship will be seven days later. On 9 October, for the second day of the championship, it is in fact expected at PalaEstra Perugia.
The Sienese will therefore begin their preparation on Thursday 11 August. In the first days the biancoblu athletes will make a retreat in Tirrenia, in the province of Pisa, where they will begin their seasonal training. In Tirrenia the boys under the orders of coach Paolo Montagnani and the biancoblu technical staff (with Omar Pelillo as second coach and Simone Cruciani on the technical staff and scoutman) will carry out the first training sessions both from an athletic and physical point of view and from an from a technical and tactical point of view. These will be important days to begin to refine the team chemistry of a group that is obviously very renewed compared to last season.
The biancoblu team will then return to Siena and start training at PalaEstra from Thursday 18 August.
In the first phase of the preparation, the players who play in the national teams in view of the World Cup will not yet be aggregated to the group. Ricci and Pinali will be involved with the Italian national team in the training camp that takes place in Cavalese from 1st to 12th August. Petric and Van Garderen are also making commitments with their respective national teams.
