Libero Leonardo Scanferla, opposite Yuri Romanò, and spikers Francesco Recine and Fabrizio Gironi were included in the long list of the 22 players that the Italian Volleyball Federation communicated to the World Federation and from which the Technical Commissioner Ferdinando De Giorgi will then choose the men who will participate in the World Championship.
The event in which 24 teams will participate will take place from 26 August to 11 September 2022 in Poland in Gliwice and Katowice and in Slovenia in Ljubljana.
Preparation for the world championship will start on Monday 1st August in Cavalese in the province of Trento with a boarding school which will end on Friday 12th August.
