It was a 2022 full of challenges, emotions and news that of Volley 2001 Garlasco: in April the salvation of A3 and B1; in July the arrival of Italo Vullo, the first General Manager in the club’s history; a few months later the signing of Moyashi Soybeans as title sponsor of A3.
With the bowls still (championships paused until 8 January) Savino Di Noia, Sports Director of the A3, makes a first point of the situation: “We are at the end of 2022 and our assessment with respect to the start of the season is still positive. We had a very complicated start, certainly linked to having changed 10/12ths of the group, and it is natural to have to deal with amalgam difficulties. The value of the group has never been questioned and now we are playing: we have become more constant in many fundamentals. We still lack something to work on, but we are more of a team than 3-4 months ago. We often regret not bringing home the points we could and this is yet another positive sign of a team that is starting to have more awareness of its means”.
The President Silvia Strigazzi comments: “We are satisfied with the ranking situation in which we find ourselves at the end of the year. It’s a great satisfaction to be fifth in a competitive championship where last year the goal was to save ourselves. Compared to a tiring start to the season, we have now found greater understanding and a little more balance. This group is unpredictable: sometimes it gives us very tense matches, which I follow anxiously, other times it makes us experience great emotions, playing really high-level volleyball. For the new year, the wish is to continue on this path!”.
