After sitting on Cucine Lube Civitanova’s bench in late february, Gianlorenzo Blengini won the Superleague in a great and quick run, as head coach:
“I never thought it would happen. I was focused on Olympics and from night to day I was put into this adventure, trying to help the team. I listened to the players, their needs and their ideas, and we went throught this adventure. It was great, especially versus Modena, the real turning point of the season. Also versus Trento, we lost Game 1 at home, it was a big ste up for the team, and in end we won the championship. I want to dedicate this win to my wife and my daughter, it wasn’t easy for them to see me out of home so suddenly, they know how is my job, but it was tough anyway for them”.
