Big volleyball showdown at sold out PalaEvangelisti, with Perugia who defeated Cucina Lube Civitanova in four enthusiastic sets, after losing first 25-23. It was a great volleyball battle in front of this hunge and enthusiastic crowd. Giampaolo Medei’s team put on court a great first set, taking the lead in the count of the sets thanks to a good performance by Taylor Sander and Osmany Juantorena. Then in second Sir Safety Conad Perugia stepped up with unstoppable Alexander Atanasijevic, and thanks to some great saves and defences by Massimo Colaci, Mvp of the game, winning the partial 25-22. In third Perugia was once again great winning 25-19, and in fourth sealing the three points win winning set and match 25-20. In the end 23 points for Atanasijevic, 13 for American Aaron Russell, and 12 for Ivan Zaytsev. On the other side of the net 16 points for Sander, 15 for Juantorena, and only 9 for Tsvetan Sokolov, not at 100% of shape.
