In front of a great sell out crowd, the Gialloblù of Verona was great since the start, with a great Mitar Djuric in the first set. In second an outstanding job down the net of Simone Anzani and Aidan Zingel put Verona in front 2-0, in third again Verona in front, three match points killed by Modena, from 24-22 until the tie, but Mitar Djuric again sealed the win for Calzedonia, in the madhouse of the sold out AGSM Forum.
It was a perfect game for Verona, in every single fundamental, dominating the game thanks above all to a great game of Michele Baranowicz, a game without mistakes. Now Verona can be a dangerous outsider looking out to the playoff bracket. Not only the “big four contenders” for the final title, now Verona is a reality.
