Another complicated game for Lpr, once again not able to close an average win. Piacenza won at the tie brea versus Kioene Padova, after about two hours of play. The good news is that this is the fourth win in a row at PalaBanca for Lpr, but it was tough to win over Padova, strong and determined.
Baldovin’s team won the first set 25-21, also thanks to alot of several mistakes for Piacenza in serve and attack. Giuliani put on the court Leonel Marshall and Luca Tencati from the bench, and they answered the call, together with Fernando Hernandez and Trevor Clavenot, stepping up and driving Lpr to two easy win in second (25-14) and third (25-21) set. Padova fought back in the fourth set, grabbing an important win 25-22 and forcing the game to tie break. In the fifth it’s Piacenza’s serve to make the difference, with Hernandez and Aimone Alletti protagonists.
In the end Lpr took home the win in tie break 15-11.

Leonel Marshall (LPR Piacenza): “With me on the court our serve is a bit improved, When you are used to play with a starting six, it’s normal to miss some players when they miss. We expected a complicated game, but when we saw our serve improve, everything got better”.
Marco Volpato (Kioene Padova): “The retreat worked for us. It was a positive thing. We gave our best, believing until the end. We did not win because we were too nervous in the crucial moments. We should face these moments with a clean mind”.
