It was an easy one for Cucine Lube at Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova Marche, where Lube defeated 3-0 Bunge Ravenna (25-20, 25-19, 25-21) clinching the access to Del Monte Italian Cup Final Four (for the eighth time in a row), that will be played next 27th and 28th january 2018. The defending Italian Cup champs put on the floor a great offensive performance, with Mvp Osmany Juantorena as best scorer with 14 points. 10 points also for Davide Candellaro and Taylor Sander, with Tsvetan Sokolov with 9 points, after the injury of sunday. On the other side of the net Bunge Ravenna struggled in the crunch time of the sets. The best scorer for the team from Romagna was Marechal with 10 points, and Buchegger with 9 points.

Giampaolo Medei (Cucine Lube Civitanova): “We reached an important goal of the season, puntting on court the right focus and the right determination, winning clearly this game. We saw that Ravenna could be dangerous in the serve, but we were great in reception, keeping the focus and be carefull and determined. I want to thank the medical staff, who gave me back Sokolov after only three days. On sunday we’ll play again versus Ravenna, they will be more tough, trying to do something better”.
Marco Vitelli (Bunge Ravenna): “We gave our best versus the defending champs, playing at the same level of the champs. They had more quality than us, now we are out of the Italian Cup, after the great effort in Vibo now we lost versus a great team. Now let’s think to the Superleague, next sunday we’ll be again here in Civitanova”.
