The Highway 22 derby, scheduled the third to last game of regular season, saw a clear win of Diatec Trentino. With these three points earned on tonight, Trento stayed in second place in Unipolsai Superleague standings, behind leader Lube Civitanova. The 3-0 win of Coach Lorenzetti’s team, expressed once again the better shape of Trento, whodefeated Modena three weeks ago in Del Monte Italian Cup semifinals. On today Diatec dominated the game, but in first two sets it was a balanced game, a great volleyball show. Trento had a couple of turning points with Gabriele Nelli (in the starting six in place of Stokr) and Filippo Lanza. In third set Modena collapsed, in front of Trento and its fans, in the sell out crowd of PalaTrento.

Filippo Lanza (Diatec Trentino): “We wanted this type of game, to show everybody we are still here. We faced powerhouse Modena in front of our fans, and we felt the warm of them, gaining confidence in front of our fans. We did it and we are happy, tonight we won thanks to the fans”.

Lorenzo Tubertini (Azimut Modena): “It has been very emotional to face Angelo Lorenzetti as opponent coach. About the game, we need to be used to play at this level. In first two sets we’ve been penalized bysome bad situations, in the third we suffered alot Trento’s quality”.
