For Ravenna it was one of the best performances of the season, especially down the net, with an outstanding job in blocks. It was a bad day for the spikers of Muguel Falasca’s team, in trouble all game long in finding the right rhythm in attack, suffering alot of blocks by Ravenna. On the other hand coach Soli shined with his best player of the game, Marten Van Garderen, MVP of the game with 18 points. For Gi Group Monza the best scores was veteran Vissotto Neves, with 13 points. Fromm 11 and Verhees 10 for Monza.

Fabio Soli (Bunge Ravenna): “We played a great game, playing with attention and energy. We had few mistakes and a good reaction in their best moment, you should act this way if you want to win this kind of games. Everything was good with our performance, this happened because we worked hard in practice in last two week. A great game for Van Garderen, very effective in the serve and down the net”.

Iacopo Botto (Gi Group Monza): “We paid the price of alot of bad receptions, we suffered for all the game their serve. We played a bad game, we lost our confidence during the match, especially in third and fourth set, where we completely lost our way. Now we have to focus on the next games, working in practice and be ready for wednesday’s game versus another tough opponent, the defending champs of Modena”.
