Biosì Sora won first game of their Superleague season at Palaflorio in Bari defeating home team Bcc Castellana Grotte, by winning at the tie break at the extras. It was a great game by Mvp Dusan Petkovic, 32 points for him, 11 in first set 20 points for Nielsen still for Sora, on the other hand 19 points for Djalma Moreira, 17 points for Cazzaniga, 16 for Middle blocker De Togni, and 14 for brasilian Ferreira Costa. A very intense game which reached the tie break, won by the visiting team 19-17 in a very emotional fifth set.
Giorgio De Togni (BCC Castellana Grotte): “We were waiting for this game to step up and snap our negative skid, but we are still in trouble. We made some steps ahead but not enough. We alternate high level sets to bad performances. We need some continuity and some little luck. The decision of referees in the end mad us weird, next wednesday we’ll play another game, another game to win”.
Mattia Rosso (Biosì Indexa Sora): “It was easy to predict a tie break in this game. It was a very balanced game, two teams at a good level of volleyball, with some high and lows during the games. In fifth set a couple of plays made the difference. This win gave us confidence, after alot of job in practice and alot of losses”.
