Milan was hoping to get a little something more out of its home game against Piacenza but there were some improvements. Three sets ended with the minimum margin and Milan gave it a fight too in the fourth.
« In my opinion, there were some improvements from all of us – said libero Danilo Cortina – In spite of our positions in the table and the bad results, we proved we wanted to give it a fight until the end. This proves that the team believes in its potential. Given how well we played, we’d have hoped to take at least a point like we had done in our first match against Piacenza. But in the clutch time like in the first and third, we lacked that conviction to turn things around ».
