Diatec Trentino won a strange game on the home turf versus Gi Group Monza, after a struggling first set and a bad start of the second. After losing first set 25-19, and being down 8-2 in the second, Trento fought back, witha great reaction, thanks to Angelo Lorenzetti who put on court canadian Micholas Hoag in place of a struggling captain Filippo Lanza, and Jan Kozamernik in the middle in place of australian Aidan Zingel. The two players from the bench turned the game, especially Hoag, who in the end gained the Mvp award, putting 17 points n the ground. Winning the second 25-21, Trento took in hands the game, winning easily the third 25-14, and fourth 25-19. Best scorer of the game was serbian hammer Uros Kovacevic with 20 points, Hoag 17, and opposite Luca Vettori 13, after a bad start in attack. A bad loss for Modena, a 1-3 in a delicate game versus Padova in front of 4.700 fans at PalaPanini. Without Earvin Ngapeth, Modena started in the right way, and the first set was balanced until the break for Padova in the crunch time of the set, winning the first partial 25-21. In second Padova started with great power, until 10-4, and until 18-13. modena fought back until the extras, but Padova grabbed the win on 27-25. Another loss for Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia, the seventh in a row for Lorenzo Tubertini’s team. Troubles for the Giallorossi, unable to fight back and react, especially in first two sets. It was more or less easy for Coach Mario Barbiero’s team to win the two partials 25-21 and 25-19 with a great offesinve performance by Dusan Petkpovic, awarded Mvp of the game. In third Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia tried to fight back, with a good start 4-0 in the set. But soon Petkovic, Rosso and Nielsen fought back and grabbed the win 25-20 in third set and match. For Sora it was a good game also for Nielsen, 15 points for him. On the other side the best scorer for Vibo was Lecat with 9 points, followed by polish Domagala with 7 points.

Sir Safety Conad Perugia back on track after the home loss at PalaEvangelisti versus Azimut Modena, by winning on road at sold out Pala De Andrè over fighting Bunge Ravenna. It was a great offensive performance for Lorenzo Bernardi’s team, with best scorer and Mvp of the game american Aaron Russell, 15 points for him, followed by Alexander Atanasijevic with 13 points and Ivan Zaytsev with 10. Bunge fought for real only in some parts of first set, losing 25-22, but in the next twos Lorenzo Bernardi’s team totally dominated, winning easily 25-16 and 25-18. With this win Perugia grabbed the lead in the Superleague standings, taking advantage of the losses of Modena and Civitanova.
