It was an emotional and exciting game at PalaBianchini in Latina, where Sir Safety Conad Perugia suffered alot for the win in Lazio, versus a fighting Top Volley. In first set, arrived at the tie at 24, the extras saw an infinite series of side outs, until the incredible win 41-39 for Latina in first set, for a total of 43 minutes. In second Taiwan Excellence fought back, trailing until the win 25-20, tying the count of the sets at 1. Since that point, Ivan Zaytsev (Mvp of the game with 24 points) and Alexander Atanasijevic (20 points for the serbian opposite), with Lorenzo Bernardi’s team who won the two remaining sets 25-15 and 25-17. For Perugia a good game also for Aaron Russell, 11 points and still a bit of lack of continuity, good game also for argentinian setter Luciano De Cecco, 8 points and several dishes to his hammers. On the other side of the net, a good game for japanese Yuki Ishikawa,18 points for him, and Sasha Starovic, 16 points for the serbian opposite. A great and intense game between two important teams in Superleague.

Andrea Rossi (Taiwan Excellence Latina): “We started very well, with great energy, but in third set we were down, and Perugia stepped up. Now we have to think about next game, I think our points in the standings are less than we deserve”.

Modena won easily 3-0 a delicate game versus Bunge Ravenna, playing with Tine Urnaut at full strength, Tine Urnaut a great protagonist of the game, named Mvp of the game with 15 points. It was a great game also for Earvin Ngapeth, 12 points for him and the usual big show with Bruno, once again a great game for the Olympic Champ. Ravenna fought in first set, losing the partial 25-21, but in second and third Fabio Soli’s team suffered the power in attack of Radostin Stoytchev’s team. The best scorer for the team from Romagna was Raffaelli with 14 points, followed by Poglajen with 9 points and Buchegger with only 7 points. Modena needed an important win on the home turf, to silence all the extra volleyball stuff.

MVP: Urnaut (Azimut Modena)
Radostin Stoytchev (Azimut Modena): “We were good also last week versus Trento we worked hard in practice, but today, we faced an opponent a little bit inferior than Trento. Our arena as usual helped us, and the spectacular plays of Bruno and Ngapeth helped too. I’m happy for the result”.
Fabio Soli (Bunge Ravenna): “We knew we would face an angry team, who wanted to step on the court determined to show how is their values after the extra volleyball stuff happened. And so they did. Versus a team as Modena today it was difficult to do something”.

Nikola Grbic’s team dominated the challenge thanks to an outstanding performance in the serve, silencing the reception of Revivre. It was a great night for Jaeschke, 13 points, Pajenk and Maar, both with 12 points, all well served by setter Luca Spirito, the Mvp of the game. The defence of Calzedonia Verona contained very well the attacks of hammer Nimir Abdel Aziz, only 13 points for him, out of 7 blocks suffered. MVP: Luca Spirito (Calzedonia Verona)
Spettatori: 1660
Alessandro Piccinelli (Revivre Milano): “It was a tough game, Verona had a great start, and we suffered them since the start. They stepped up always in the crunch time, , it’s difficult for us to understand what happened, a team as Verona who put you in big troubles like Verona it’s not simple to explain. We have to back in gym and practice hard, the be ready for next upcoming game”.
Luca Spirito (Calzedonia Verona): “On tonight we were good more or less in everything. We had some good turns in the serve, and block and defence did an outstanding job. I’m happy for the Mvp award, it’s great to see the team play alike this”.

It was a perfect game for Wixo Lpr Piacenza at PalaBanca, a perfect win for Alberto Giuliani’s team over Gi Group Monza, a quick and easy 3-0 for Piacenza that after the losses versus Padova and Perugia needed to step up and come back to win with a convincing performance. And so they did. Monza fought only in crunch time of first set and in part of the third, suffering the serve and presence down the net of Viktor Yosifov, Aimone Alletti and Alessandro Fei, the best scorer fo the game with 18 points. It was a great game for setter Michele Baranowicz, Mvp of the game, who dished some great sets to all his team. Nothing good for Miguel Angel Falasca’s team, except young ukrainian prospect Oleg Plotnytsky, who had 10 points in the game, stepping on the court in place of troubled spikers. Some food spikeds also for Czech Michal Finger, 12 points for him and a good impact onthe game, but not enough for a win.
Spettatori: 2073
MVP: Michele Baranowicz
Alberto Giuliani (Wixo LPR Piacenza): “It was a clear game. Everything was good for us, we were focused and we finished the fame in the right way. Monza did not played a good game and helped us, but there are always two teams on court”.
Rizzo Marco (Gi Group Monza): “We did not expected to be so in trouble. Versus Latina we showed personality, and on today we were always struggling, in all the fundamentals, from the serve til reception. In first and third set we had the chance to comeback, but we weren’t able to do it”.
