2018 CEV Cup with 24 teams plus 12 teams eliminated from Champions League, in 32nd Finals, 16th Finals, 8th Finals, Quarterfinals, Semifinals and Final, all in Game 1 and Game 2 format.
Calzedonia Verona
The rights of Azimut Modena to play in 2018 CEV Cup goes to Calzedonia Verona after the renounce of Modena to play international games. Last Cev Cup won by an italian team was in 2010/11 by Sisley Treviso. Latina (2012/13) and Trento (2014/15 and 2016/17) reached the final, losing becoming the runner up. Verona approaches the Cup trying to be strong as they were in Challenge Cup in 2016 , when they won the cup defeating russian Fakel Novi Urengoy after a couple of heartbeating tie breaks. Calzedonia will play in 16th Finals versus serbian Ribnica Kraljevo, Game 1 on 6th december at 19.00, with Game 2 next 20th december at AGSM Forum in Verona at 20.30.
