3500 fans were at PalaPanini for Azimut Modena‘s fifth win in a row in 2017 Champions League, a 3-1 versus polish PGE Skra Belchatow.
Modena won with a great performance for italian national team opposite Luca Vettori, 21 points for him, clinching the first place in Pool D and the qualification to PlayOffs 12. Last game of the Pool D will be next 1st march in Ljubljana at 17.00.
Cucine Lube Civitanova continues its streak of wins in Czech Republic versus Dukla Liberec, losing one set at the Home Credit Arena, with Gianlorenzo Blengini forced to use alot of players from the bench. Good performance, as usual in this part of the season, for Osmany Juantorena, 16 points for him. With this win Lube is at 12 points in the standings, tied with Berlin Recycling Volleys, who will visit Lube at Eurosuole Forum in Civitanova next wednesday 1st march at 21, in a great volleyball showdown.
First loss in Europe for Sir Sicoma Colussi Perugia, in Belgium, without Luciano De Cecco and Alexander Atanasijevic and with Ivan Zaytsev sat on the bench all game long. Knack Roeselare won at the tie break, despite the 15 aces put on the ground by Perugia and the good game played by Mitic-Chernokozhev. no problem with this loss, Perugia is still atop the standings in Pool E. Last game will take place wednesday 1st march at PalaEvangelisti, when Block Devils will host Halkbank Ankara of former coach Boban Kovac.

Diatec Trentino won on the home turf, a not so easy 3-1 win over VaLePa Sastamala, earning the access to the quarterfinals, where they will find Lpr Piacenza. After the win in Finland two weeks ago, the second game versus the finn was tough, with VaLePa winner in first set and almost in the second, won by Trento struggling, 30-28. then Diatec won in long distance, clinching the quarterfinals spot.
LPR Piacenza won more easily in Serbia versusVojvodina Ns Seme Novi Sad, another 3-0 which doubled the result in game 1 at PalaBanca, but struggling a little bit more. the serbians fought back in every set, but in the end the great performance in attack of Hernandez and Parodi, gave the win to Piacenza.
