Exciting game at PalaBanca in Piacenza for the last game of the 22nd Round of Unipolsai Superleague Regular Season between Lpr Piacenza and Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia.
Piacenza won 3-1 in a funny and beautiful game, thanks to Fernando Hernandez who took the rhythm and drove Lpr to the win.
On the other hand Waldo Kantor’s team had a good game in the first three sets, good in reception with Davide Marra (60% and 78% in reception in the first two sets), down the net with Aimone Alletti and Viktor Yosifov (4 blocks each), and a great performance in serve of Kadu, who drove Tonno Callipo to an astonishing come becak in second set, killing 4 set points from 24-20 until 24-24, and driving Vibo to the win 26-24, running a 6-0 break. in third and fourth Lpr drove Fernando Hernandez to the win, 20 total points in the end for the cuban, and a good win for Alberto Giuliani’s team.
Raydel Hierrezuelo (LPR Piacenza): “It was a tough game, we knew that Vibo was a difficoult opponent and they knew how to put us in trouble. But in the end we were good to grab the win and the three points, staying in sixth place in the standings”
Davide Marra (Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia): “It was a great challenge,we believed until the end. We have to keep this fighting attitude until the end of regular season. Good game for Paicenza and a good win for them, but we played a good game too. Now we have to focus to the remaining games, one by one”.
