We wanted to continue our good performances after the games versus Piacenza and Verona, but we did it without continuity. Now, for us, the important games are upcoming, and we don’t have to make mistakes. I want to thank our wonderful fans”.
Filippo Lanza (Diatec Trentino): “After the Italian Cup and the road trip in Finland, we lost part of our energy, but we arrived here in milano and played a good game. We played with the mind, we profited of the chances milano gave us to close the game. A good result for us, looking for the next game versus Verona. We need to be focused and humble. We gained big finals, now it’s time to win”.

MVP Marten Van Garderen (Bunge Ravenna)
Fabio Soli (Bunge Ravenna): “We played a great game, playing with attention and energy. We had few mistakes and a good reaction in their best moment, you should act this way if you want to win this kind of games. Everything was good with our performance, this happened because we worked hard in practice in last two week. A great game for Van Garderen, very effective in the serve and down the net”.
Iacopo Botto (Gi Group Monza): “We paid the price of alot of bad receptions, we suffered for all the game their serve. We played a bad game, we lost our confidence during the match, especially in third and fourth set, where we completely lost our way. Now we have to focus on the next games, working in practice and be ready for wednesday’s game versus another tough opponent, the defending champs of Modena”.

Six in a row for Calzedonia Verona, and counting. A perfect game for the team of Nikola Grbic, who annihilated the defending champs Azimut Modena 3-0. In front of a great sell out crowd, the Gialloblù of Verona was great since the start, with a great Mitar Djuric in the first set. In second an outstanding job down the net of Simone Anzani and Aidan Zingel put Verona in front 2-0, in third again Verona in front, three match points killed by Modena, from 24-22 until the tie, but Mitar Djuric again sealed the win for Calzedonia, in the madhouse of the sold out AGSM Forum.
It was a perfect game for Verona, in every single fundamental, dominating the game thanks above all to a great game of Michele Baranowicz, a game without mistakes. Now Verona can be a dangerous outsider looking out to the playoff bracket. Not only the “big four contenders” for the final title, now Verona is a reality.
On the other hand, Modena suffered alot the serve of Verona, without being able to a threat in the serve, leaving to Calzedonia the opportunity to attack without pressure and executing in the best way
MVP Michele Baranowicz (Calzedonia Verona)

Luigi Randazzo (Calzedonia Verona): “This was a very important test for us, we are working hard in practice, we did it especially in last two weeks. We played as a team, we wanted this win, and we got it”.
Roberto Piazza (Allenatore Azimut Modena): “We played under our expectations, we are Modena we cannot play this way. Any game is easy and we need to play every game like a no tomorrow game. This is not the real Modena, that’s for sure. We need to look deep inside us and solve the problema we saw in this game, like the side out play, which did not worked at all on today”.

Now, in this moment, Lube is playing better than us. We can say it, without problems. We have to work to reach this level, I think this is the top level of the tournament”.
Osmany Juantorena (Cucine Lube Civitanova): “Most of the match has been decided by the first set. then we were great. They played not so good, they missed something in the crucial moments. We took advantage of this and we won. But we have to keep calm, this was only a regular season game, and the season is still long”.
