Molfetta put an end to a losing streak away from home that had lasted for four months. In the Friday night game, they had the better of Ravenna at the tie-break behind a superb performance from Sabbi, who won its inside match-up against Torres, who had been named MVP of the league in December. In the tie-break, the visitors quickly found a spurt with two aces from Vitelli (5-10), mistakes from Grozdanov and Torres meants Molfetta kept a five-point advantage (7-12) and sealed it comfortably.
Maurice Torres (Bunge Ravenna): “This was a crucial game, points were so big in order to get closer to the playoffs, but unfortunately that was not one of our best performances this season. We did not manage to put in practice what we wanted, credit to Molfetta for their victory. We tried to ignite a come-back in the fourth, we manged to fight back from a complicated situation but then in the tie-break our opponents started to play well again while we los tour way ».

Still, it was important to win on the road, something that had not happened for a long time.
