Good win for Calzedonia Verona at Pala Valentia defeating Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia with a strong 3-0. Good personality and authority for Nikola Grbic’s team, who dominated the game in first two sets. Waldo Kantor’s team was arriving from a road match in Piacenza on thursday, and porbably was a little bit tired. In the third Vibo fought back, in the end Tonno Callipo killed five match points to Verona, losing the set 32-30. It was a very funny and exciting game in the third, whil in the first and second, Calzedonia showed its strength, closing both the partials with authority.
MVP was serbian Uros Kovacevic, a great game for former Modena Volley, 16 points with 54% in attack.

Manuel Coscione (Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia): “We had a bad attitude starting the game, it’s not easy to come back when you are 3-10. We were soft and distracted, but we also played some good volleyball especially in the third set. Too bad, on tonight we did not gave our usual 100%”.
Michele Baranowicz (Calzedonia Verona): “It was a tough third set, a big marathon like versus Trento. It has been difficoult to start again after the loss versus Trento, but this time we were great in react, and we took home this win. These are three important points, now let’s think to the next game and to the job in practice”.
